This APPlause! event, available to enjoy for a full week, is an abridged version of the full-length concert that is part of the main Schaefer Center Presents Series.
In its 28th year, coordinated by Dr. Stephen Hopkins, Director of Choral Studies in the Hayes School of Music, the Holiday Scholarship Concert offers this compilation of past performances featuring tunes from classical to jazz to help you ring in the High Country holiday season with joyful music! Appalachian State University’s Hayes School of Music hosts its beloved annual concert showcasing the wide array of talented student musicians from ensembles such as:
Steely Pan Steel Band / Brass Choir / Cello Ensemble
Trombone Choir / Treble Choir / Jazz Combo
Glee Club / Flute Ensemble / University Singers
Chamber Singers / Dr. Joby Bell, organ
Wind Ensemble / Symphony Orchestra
