Appalachian Dance Ensemble
Part of the APPlause! K-12 Performing Arts Series
Registration for the 2017-18 APPlause! Series season will be open August 15, 2017
The Appalachian State University Department of Theatre and Dance presents work from its Fall Appalachian Dance Ensemble concert (FADE) in Appalachian’s beautiful Valborg Theatre. FADE is a production of original dance works created by both faculty and students, and performed entirely by university students. Each of the selected works will be presented in a lecture demonstration format, allowing students to hear from the choreographers about their process and inspiration for each piece before watching each performance. In addition, students hear from lighting and costume designers as they demonstrate the high level of collaboration that occurs among choreographers, dancers, designers and technicians to produce an evening-length concert of dance.
Run time approximately 60 minutes, seating is limited
